Your questions, answered plainly.
Our free Microsoft 365 trial is about to end.
We'll convert it to a paid plan before it expires, so nothing is lost. Get in touch a few days before the end date if you can.
We still use boxed Office 2016 or 2019.
These versions are no longer supported by Microsoft, which means no more security updates. We'll move you to a Microsoft 365 subscription and make sure your files come with you.
We use Microsoft Publisher.
Microsoft ended support for Publisher in October 2026, and it is no longer included in Microsoft 365. We'll help you choose a replacement and move your files into it.
We're a charity.
Microsoft charity pricing may be available to you.
Some of our licences are direct with Microsoft and some come through an IT company.
We tidy them into one place, one subscription at a time, timed so you never pay twice.
We're bringing two businesses together.
We can bring two Microsoft set-ups together into one. This is quoted separately because every merger is different.
We have a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement.
We'll plan the move around your agreement's end date.
We use Azure as well.
We can supply and review Azure too. Quoted separately.
Will our email go down when we switch?
We plan every switch with you to keep disruption to a minimum, and agree the timing in your quote. You keep the same email address.
Do we have to sign a long contract with Solvida?
No. Managed Licensing can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. Microsoft's own monthly and annual terms are explained in the small print.
Which Microsoft 365 plan do we need?
It depends on whether your team needs the desktop apps and how much protection you need. Our plan comparison explains Business Basic, Standard and Premium in plain English.
What if our licences are already right?
Then we'll tell you. If it's clear on the free 15-minute call, it won't cost you anything.
Is Solvida a Microsoft partner and Microsoft 365 reseller?
Yes. Solvida is a Microsoft partner and supplies Microsoft 365 business plans to UK businesses, billed monthly or annually, with Managed Licensing included. We can also supply licences for other business software, such as backup and Azure.
Can we reduce our Microsoft 365 licences part way through the year?
On a monthly plan, licences can be reduced at each monthly renewal. On an annual plan, licences can be added at any time but usually only reduced at the renewal date. A spare licence can always pass to someone else straight away.
Did Microsoft 365 go up in price in 2026?
Yes. From 1 July 2026 Microsoft raised the price of Business Basic and Business Standard, and Business Premium stayed the same. You pay the new price from your first renewal on or after that date. Our guide to the July 2026 price change explains what to look at before you renew.
Can we buy Microsoft 365 without an IT support contract?
Yes. Solvida is a licensing-only Microsoft partner, so you buy the licences on their own, billed monthly or annually, with no IT support or managed service contract attached. Our page on licensing without a support contract explains how it works.
What is a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP)?
It is the Microsoft programme through which authorised partners sell and bill Microsoft cloud subscriptions, such as Microsoft 365 and Azure. Solvida is a Microsoft partner and an indirect CSP reseller.
Do you supply software other than Microsoft 365?
Yes. Alongside Microsoft 365 we supply Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Azure, and business software such as Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud, Acronis backup, SentinelOne and CrowdStrike endpoint protection, and Exclaimer email signatures. Other software is quoted for your business.
Can we keep our current IT company?
Yes. Your IT company can carry on looking after your systems while your licences are billed through Solvida.
How do we find unused Microsoft 365 licences?
In the Microsoft 365 admin centre, compare the licences you have with the licences assigned, and look for people whose sign-in is blocked but who still hold a licence. Our licence review page has a ten-minute self-check, or we can do a full Licence Health Check for you.
Is your Microsoft 365 the right fit?
Fifteen minutes on a call will tell you.
