Deploying Windows 10

If your company is still using Windows 8, Windows 7 or worst still Windows XP there has never been a better time to move to Microsoft's latest Operating System.

Windows 10 builds on the familiar feature sets provided by the previous versions and by keeping some of the underlying architecture has managed to make the new version backwards compatible with most hardware and software capable of running on Windows 7 and above.

This is great news for companies contemplating deployment or upgrade as it takes away some of the burden of ensuring systems continue to function post migration.

There will always be the need to carry out compatibility testing for Applications, Websites, Hardware etc especially those that are business critical, but the whole process is greatly simplified because of the high level of compatibility that Windows 10 provides.  Historically one of the biggest challenges with an Operating System upgrade was how to deal with the incompatibilities, this concern has largely been taken away which has meant the upgrade has now become a much more streamlined in-place process that maintains and preserves settings and data.
